track number 5

Gentle Friendly are basically just super dudes from planet Rad. Radospherians are mainly known for sippin' on Oranginas on awesome sofas.
GF do that, but then they also go and record an incredible album from a bedroom. And then these super vidzzz makers from neighboring planet Woah just go and make raddd vidzzz to GF's super songs from their bedrooms too. Basically: WOAHSUPERRADDD!

I'm so glad that with the recent breakthrough advances on the blogosphere and all, we are now able to connect and fileshare with other Universes...Looking forward to the Future. But in the mean time, whilst GF just continue sittin'n'sippin' in their Universe, Earth is able to listens to their top of the pops worthy new record that just came out on UTR.

Not really, this is all just blo-fi (bloggers fiction). But still, this vid is to the song Lovers Rock, which I think is my fave off GF's new album Ride Slow. It is track number 5, and anyone that had a collection of boyband cds back in their teen years knows that track number 5 is usually the grand sentimental anthem that you listened to in yr discman on the school bus thinking of the dreamy blonde boy from french class that never replied to yr note. (Hi Tom P, if ever you come across this, you never replied in '99 and it still crushes my heart :( .) Actually, apart from upgrading Disc Man for Mr. ipod, not much has changed in the past 10 years. I still sit on buses, listening to track number 5 type songs just wishin' that a dreamy boy would write track number 5 off the self titled Akron/Family album for me. OH LOLZ!

e for effort. f for favour. c for coffee.

Brighton, yr so crayzee

I think I speak for both of us when I say that we ♥ Brighton. Back in stinky CAPcity after an extremely pleasant Mr ipod listening session on the train. The Brighton to London journey is great for full album listenings. Last night also began as well as ended with a full album play of one of the best albums ever made. (fact,LOL) Talking about "is this it" by the Strokes of course! I put on the full album as my first set at Moon Hoax and then once again at probably 4am to please those three handsome dudes I was sitting with. They loved it a lot. Don't think Ed's international honeyz liked it much tho. OH LOL. They were more in to weeing in showers...yea, for real.
Actually, unfortunately my night didn't end on the Strokes. My cue to leave was definitely approximately 2 hours before that gross jerky old guy at the party said something along the lines of "hey kids, gonna play you an old German band from the 80s to educate you, it's a classic mate" then stomped over to the innovative technology apparatus to type "Kraftwerk" in to the video playing box thingie with his fat finger. OH COME ON MR CONDESCEND US MUCH, go tell yr grandchildren about how the invention of Daft Punk influenced yr brains back in the olden days. ugh. We also have BBC on our TV, you know?So anyway, one of the elements that added to the success of the soundtrack to my train ride home was Toro Y Moi. TYM is great for drifty hung-over train ride chilling. It's very important to chose the right soundtrack for optimal solo-hanging. LISTEN This song recently came out on Carpark Records.

jan10 pop ffwd

WOOAH! Yesterday one of my fave bands Beach House were giving out their new single Norway to the internet. How nice! And holy shit, wow, how awesome is the song!! I am worshiper of genuine dreamy pop so Beach House to me is pretty much perfect ♥ ♥ ♥LISTEN HERE!!

Aww, listening to this makes me want to press the Universe's FFWD button so it can be January already so I can listen to their new album. And I want it to be March already so I can go watch them play with Grizzly Bear. Oh yeah, Grizzly Bear! How rofling predictable of me. I've managed to find a sneaky mid-paragraph link to mention more sonic heroes, LOLZ. But now that I've done it, I might as well post in the Grizzliebees new video made by Allison Schulnik because it's definitively another one for the "ZOMGY AWESOMEE" booky:

I'm glad the BH album is coming out in January tho. Nobody is in to Januaries in general. Jan sux basically. And last year the only thing that gave my January any meaning was the Animal Collective when Merriweather came out. Hopefully Beach House will do the same to Jan10.

Huh? retro. Uh oh I reckon my pop post here is gonna annoy Tiger. He has already told me off for making this blog "girly and pink", we're currently in a text colour war, every time I refresh he's changed my purple back to blue. Oh come on Tiger, no homo intended!

holidays r comin'.

with christmas just around the corner i thought i better check out the coolest toys.
dont wanna look like a dick on the playground in january.

this? or this? or maybe this?

tbh the tickle me elmo gloves wouldnt normally be my thing but these guyz seem to love em.

rrp $29.99.

// a grave with no name //
album drops this side of the atlantic in a couple o' weeks.
my stockings gonna be all killer no filler this year huh.

and we parted ways at mt. jade.mp3

in other news i finally realised what the new banner reminds me of.
i think this angle helps...

Advocate of the Atlas Sound

I missed out on the Jafro-2-Go event last night but Tiger kept me updated about Olly (oh swoon!), Jeddy & co via txtmsgs. I went to see Atlas Sound play instead. When I got to the venue, everyone was all "wooah, lady from Stereolab is here!" In other words: Z.O.M.G.E.R.Z, she is gonna sing Quick Canal with Braddy!! How cool is that? Needless to say, many smiles, happy times, it ruled.

Bradford also called out for song requests and some doofy pseudo-enthusiasts desperately blurted words in to the dark: "DEAHANTAH!" yeah dude, yr so witty aren't ya? Eventually an important word got yelled: "Pavement!" Whoever yelled that sounded like his life depended on it so Braddy smiled and tried playing Pavement, it was endearing but he struggled figuring out the chords. Aw, I wish he was my friend.

Definitively listen to Quick Canal, the collab song with lady from Stereolab: HERE YOU GO. It's off the new Atlas Sound album Logos. I've still not shut the hell up already about this album and have been listening to it religiously for the past month but it feels nowhere near over-played or over-advocated yet, it's total genius. Whilst you listen to the song, I recommend staring at the above piccy for a while. Seriously, do it! That's by this guy (awesomely) named out-4-pizza. As are these:

hiia:// www.orld

Ok. Cool. It's me, Linda. Haia! I'm new to this and this is my wwworld premiere on the BLOGOSPHERE (LOL!). I'm scared, I hear it's a pretty mean place, "blog eat blog" etc, so pleeez don't hate me,k??

There, I just took a picture of myself in photobooth in my new demi & denzel bloffice. Hi!

The thing is, Tiger asked me to do this blog with him from now because he seems to think that I am cool. Maybe he thinks that because I go to trendy art school or maybe because I used to go out with Ed Lilo (LOL!) or maybe because I......oh god, no! This is totally beside the point and clearly, within my first paragraph to The Internet, I have already managed to prove that NO, despite it already being 2009, I'm still not ready to become a hip interblogger, oww :( But hey I am willing to commit total social suicide if you promise to listen to the music, look at the pics and kool vidzzz that I post. So, as you can tell, really I am not cool. And neither is Tiger. (or Ed, LOLZ!1 sOZ)

Oh well, right? this is pretty fun already! Since Tiger and I are now an official DJ CREW or whatever, I'm guessing I should put focus on musics for my bloggering. I'm a little torn. A problem that I have with instant single track download bloggering is that you can forget about the album the blogged song belongs to, you're
taking the song out of its intended context. "oh I only know one song by Washed Out, it's a remix I got off brooklynvegan, they tweeted the link!" Yo! hey! don't be proud of that, piss off, get off twitter and listen to the album/EP/etc (LOL I'm such a hypocrite) What I mean, if you've never eaten a sandwich before, and someone gave you some cheese and said "hey look this is cheese, I took it out of a sandwich, it's my favorite part of the sandwich" You couldn't possibly from that piece of cheese claim that you know what a sandwich tastes like, right? YR LAZY. Listen to albums! AMEN.
Anyway, ♪ ♪ ♪ for my first post I thought I'd chose a real nice song by Lotus Plaza for the readers of Tiger's blog (hi, Lisa!) to listen to. This song is called Sunday Night which is from the ALBUM The Floodlight Collective. LISTEN , isn't it prettttie??

FOR THE RECORD:
Every post below this one I have nothing to do with (no offense, Tiger, yeah?) I'm only part of this from now on and I will no longer let Tiger blog about irrelevant shit.
